Abstract: We consider Wick ordered solutions to the planar stochastic heat equation, corresponding to a Skorokhod interpretation in the Duhamel integral representation of the equation. We prove that the fluctuations far from the center are given by the stochastic heat equation. This talk is based on a joint work with Jeremy Quastel and Balint Virag.
Bio: Alejandro Ramírez is currently Area Head of Mathematics, Professor of Mathematics at NYU Shanghai. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, Ramírez also holds an appointment as Professor at the Universidad Católica de Chile. At the beginning of his career he held positions at École Polytechnique, Palaiseau, and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. His research is centered in topics within probability theory. In particular, random walks, interacting particle systems and KPZ universality.
