应用数学青年讨论班(午餐会)—— On Matsubara Green’s functions in quantum many body physics: fast Feynman diagrams evaluations and robust analytic continuation

摘要:This talk assumes no prior knowledge in physics or chemistry, but will discuss several algorithmic contributions in such fields. We will first introduce a fast deterministic solver for Anderson impurity problems. The bottleneck of this problem is to accurately evaluate n-th order Feynman diagrams. Mathematically, this corresponds to computing MANY 2n-dimensional integrals, which is computationally non trivial for n>2. Then we will discuss how to solve the analytic continuation problem in condensed matter physics, which could be seen as a very ill-posed inverse problem from an applied mathematics perspective. Finally, we will discuss some recent trends in the algorithmic development of many-body physics, focusing on Green’s function approaches and diagrammatics.
在此报告中,我们介绍量子多体物理的一些相关数值算法的进展。我们首先介绍量子impurity问题的快速算法。该问题所面临的瓶颈是如何准确计算n阶费曼图的数值,数学上即意味着需要计算非常多个2n维的积分;当n>2时,其难度就不容小觑。接下来,我们会讨论如何求解凝聚态物理中的“解析延拓”问题。从应用数学的观点来看,这是一个极其病态的反问题。最后,我们会简要讨论多体物理的数值算法的一些最新发展趋势,主要着眼于格林函数方法以及与费曼图相关的理论。本报告不需要听众具备物理与化学等领域的背景知识。
