Abstract:
Finite Element Exterior Calculus (FEEC) is a framework for analyzing non-standard finite element methods by differential forms. Classical research in FEEC is focused on the construction of finite elements and a priori error analysis. In this talk, I will present my results about a posteriori error estimation and convergence analysis of adaptive algorithms in FEEC. In addition, I will describe efficient iterative solvers for linear systems of equations in FEEC on hypersurfaces. If time allows, I will also discuss possible applications of adaptive algorithms in model reduction, graphs, and data science.
