The study of twisted modules for a vertex operator algebra is equivalent to the study of orbifold conformal theories. The first orbifold example is the moonshine module constructed by Frenkel, Lepowsky and Meurman. Since then, twisted modules for a vertex operator algebra and a finite order automorphism have been studied intensively by both mathematicians and physicists. In 2010, Huang introduced the notion of twisted modules associated with a not necessarily finite-order automorphism, which involves logarithmic conformal field theory. In this talk, we will talk about the properties of these twisted modules as well as their constructions.
